In an all-digital age, a leader, in this instance the regional head, must be capable of doing the right things (performing the right things) in the correct manner (doing the things right). The agile idea was created to reimagine bureaucracy in a new organizational paradigm. Agile governance is described as an organization’s capacity to adapt rapidly to unanticipated changes in order to satisfy the expectations and requirements of an ever-changing society. Agile is a concept that aims to enhance an organization’s capacity to use information and communication technologies. This idea is capable of addressing all of the problems associated with environmental change in the digital age.
Agile is software, and it needs visionary and fundamentally creative brainware (human equivalent) (easy, fast, superior). The advancement of artificial intelligence is critical for the implementation of Agile Governance in an increasingly digital age within the context of cooperation with the Banyuwangi Regency Government, taking into account the capability of existing ICT infrastructure. In a leadership transition situation, the elected regional head must continue to develop innovation, as innovation is intrinsically linked to the leader’s strong vision and mission, and the transition period becomes a paradox that must be eliminated, as innovation leapfrogging must continue, rather than starting from scratch. The Banyuwangi Regency Government’s cooperation aims to maximize budget absorption, community services, and the strengthening of the state civil apparatus via organizational leadership. Banyuwangi Regency was transformed from a general city to an internet city with several readiness of human resources, IT literate leaders, and the readiness of ICT infrastructure. The development of technological innovation through artificial intelligence has been carried out starting from the last 10 years. In the situation of the regent’s leadership transition, the innovations that have been done previously are now being developed and added with new breakthroughs regarding sustainable innovation.
