Submission Information

Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit full text papers including results, tables, figures and references. All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical.

Articles submitted to the Conference should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the style of the Conference and are subject to both review and editing.

For those who don’t expect any publication of your papers, you’re welcome to submit the abstracts and present them at the conference without publishing.

Policy on Multiple Submissions

ICESGT will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review, is accepted for publication, or has already been published in another conference or a journal. Authors are also not allowed to submit their papers elsewhere during the ICESGT reviewing period. Submitted papers are expected to contain original work executed by the authors with adequate, proper, and scholarly citations to the work of others. It is the job of the authors to clearly identify both their own contribution(s) and also published results/techniques on which they depend or build. Reviewers are charged to ensure these standards to be met.

Full Paper Submission

Submitted manuscripts should be written in English conforming to the conference template. All submitted papers will undergo a thorough review process. Accepted full papers will be published in conference proceedings or journals according to the review result, and authors will be invited to give an oral presentation on-site or online. At least eight pages of paper is required for final submission.

Publication Ethics

Innovation that excites

We firmly believe that ethical conduct is the most essential virtual of any academic. Hence any act of plagiarism is a totally unacceptable academic misconduct and cannot be tolerated.

Submissions must be original, unpublished work, and not have been submitted to another conference or journal for publication. Full paper submissions will be blind peer-reviewed by at least two experts from the International Program Committee in order to ensure high-quality standards of research. Paper length needs to be 10-15 pages followed by “download format”. Submission of a paper implies that should the paper be accepted for publication in the conference proceedings, at least one of the authors will register and present the paper in the conference.

Publication is only limited to the full paper, abstract only will not be published, it can be arranged for presentation on the conference.

Review Process

Conference papers must meet all the usual standards of quality. However, reviewers will take into account the nature of conference papers. Review papers are also welcomed and accepted. Reviewers will consider background papers more favourably than would be normal for a regular paper. These allowances shall not go so far as to approve papers of low scientific standard. Papers that have been published in written form elsewhere should not be considered.  

Reviewers should consider the following key points related to scientific content, quality and presentation of the papers:

Technical Criteria

  • Scientific merit: notably scientific rigour, accuracy and correctness
  • Clarity of expression; communication of ideas; readability and discussion of concepts
  • Sufficient discussion of the context of the work, and suitable referencing

  • Authors must avoid the plagiarism, and they are encouraged to check the plagiarism with similarity check software. Editors will check the similarity index with Turnitin. ICESGT only accept manuscripts with similarity index less than 15%.

  • The research manuscripts submitted to this conference will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) reviewers. Double-blind review is applied, where authors or reviewers’ identities are kept confidential. Final decision of the submitted manuscript is made by Editor based on reviewers’ critical comments.

Quality Criteria

  • Originality: Is the work relevant and novel?
  • Motivation: Does the problem considered have a sound motivation? All papers should clearly demonstrate the scientific interest of the results
  • Repetition: Have significant parts of the manuscript already been published?
  • Length: Is the content of the work of sufficient scientific interest to justify its length?

Presentation Criteria

  • Title: Is it adequate and appropriate for the content of the article?
  • Abstract: Does it contain the essential information of the article? Is it complete? Is it suitable for inclusion by itself in an abstracting service?
  • Diagrams, figures, tables and captions: Are they essential and clear?
  • Text and mathematics: Are they brief but still clear? If you recommend shortening, please suggest what should be removed
  • Conclusion: Does the paper contain a clear conclusion. The conclusion should summarise what has been learned and why it is interesting and useful?
