ICONPO 2026 Hungary– The issues of energy transition, technology, and environmental sustainability continue to be of global concern. To address these challenges, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) once again shows their role on the world stage.

Several UMY academics actively participated in the 15th International Conference on Public Organization (ICONPO) in 2026. This event took place at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary, on May 28–29, 2026.

Responding to Global Challenges Through Collaboration

UMY Lecturer of Government Science, Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, M.Si., confirms that the presence of UMY in this forum carries an important mission. According to her, this forum serves as a platform to strengthen Indonesia’s academic contribution to addressing global challenges.

“The issues of technology, green energy, and sustainability require a cross-disciplinary and cross-national approach,” Prof. Arin told UMY Public Relations online on Friday (29/5).

She added that universities are strategically positioned to deliver real innovation. However, solving sustainability issues cannot be done by one sector or one country alone. Synergy between academics, government, practitioners, and the public is absolutely essential.
